Effects of Corm Shape on Growth and Flowering in Cut Flower Culture of Korean Wild Crocosmia crocosmiiflora

Abstract

|
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of corm shape on growth and flowering of Crocosmia crocosmiiflora and also to look for possibility to produce cut flower of high quality. Old corms with new corm and rhizomes and new corms with rhizomes were better than old corms and new corms removed rhizome in sprouting number, length of flowering stem and plant height. also, those with rhizome were shorten days to sprouting and flowering. When rhizome was planted alone, all of them died.
